Process Communication Model® (PCM)
Process Communication Model® - or PCM in short - is a model that has been developed by Dr Taibi Kahler in the 1970’s. It has been applied by NASA in the selection of astronauts and is now in virtually all industries and social environments imaginable.
PCM has been verified against other similar methodologies and underpinned by research and validation for over 30 years. The key to PCM is that the unique communication training provides all the skills required to decode behaviour and reduce miscommunication – it is a practical methodology.
PCM delivers unique and effective communication and conflict management skills applicable to all sections of the workforce and community, including aviation, teaching, sales, law and policing, health/medicine, and individuals.
What can PCM training do for you or your organisation?
Every individual interacts with others on a day to day basis, and organisation rely on effective inter-personal communications at various levels for the efficient conduct of business. Communications may be adversely affected by external factors which can interrupt clear communication (such as noise or vibration in the mining/resource sector, or time-critical medical factors in a surgical environment). Exposure to these external factors often induces or elevates stress, and if unrecognised these stressors will almost certainly reduce the effectiveness of inter-personal communications.PCM training will help you, or your managers and staff, recognise the personality types of those that you (or they) are interacting with, and adapt their style of communications to match, resulting in less misunderstandings and improved information transfer.
PCM training will also enable the recognition of the patterns of distress behaviours in others, and will provide the skills to reduce the level of distress and avoid any degradation in communications.

What is Gemasim?
Gemasim is a leading edge technology-based human factors and “Non-Technical Skills” training and assessment tool. It has proven useful in assessing and training for enhanced performance in stressful situations. Gemasim employs a simple and fun gaming environment to expose players to stressors and provides real time outcomes for training and developing staff, students and individuals.
GemaSim is a platform for Leadership / Human Factors Skill Training, Teambuilding Training, and Training of Leadership and Co-Operation in stressful situations. Behavioural Markers or PCM are used to assess and improve human performance and “crew resource management” in a very practical way.
Behaviour displayed by participants during missions "in space" is observed, documented and analysed with regard to the referenced 'Behavioural Markers' and to PCM®. GemaSim offers the unique opportunity to repeat training-missions, allowing participants to modify their behaviour and to develop more constructive habits.
